Saturday 13th June 2015 officially marked the end on another highly successful season for Leckhampton Rovers Football Club, and was celebrated at our largest Presentation Day to date.
23 teams, the Academy and hundreds of family members and supporters gathered at our spiritual home, Leckhampton Primary School, to celebrate to season and achievement of all the players at the club.
Despite the continual downpours everyone enjoyed the BBQ, hog roast, games and penalty shout outs
The Players were recognised – not just with free burgers and hot dogs – but also awards for leading goal scorer, coaches players of the season, most improved player, players player of the season and club man of the season, and all Academy received medals for their endeavours this season.
We also celebrated one of most successful seasons in terms of trophy wins :
- U9 Mambas – Development Cup Winners
- U11 Harriers – Arthur Stiley Cup Winners
- U14 Cheetahs – Sportsmanship Award for U14 Division
- U15 Cougars - Matthew Wyatt Cup Winners
- Men's 1stXI – Junior Charity Cup Winners
So, the season comes to end for the largest junior football club on Cheltenham, although planning is already taking place for next season when we expect to have around 26 teams playing in leagues from Under 9s to Veterans.
