A reminder to everyone that at the AGM in May, arrangements for payment of referee reverted to the situation 2 seasons ago.

Each team this season will pay the referee half the match fee:

U9 & U10 Mini Soccer - match fee £9 (£4.50 per team)
U11 upwards - match fee £20 (£10 per team)

In addition referees making a round trip of more than 10 miles are entitled to claim 36p per mile from the home team.

If teams obtain the referee's signature for the travelling expenses on the League form (attached), this amount can be reclaimed from the League.

Note that different payment arrangements apply in GFA County Cup games and are detailed in the leaflet the GFA circulates to clubs in each round. The League does not reimburse travelling expenses incurred in GFA Cup games.

While talking about referees, a reminder also of the requirements for home teams to confirm fixtures with the referee 2 clear days in advance of the game (rule 10(D)). Contact details for the appointed referee appear on the email sent out by full-time advising the referee appointment.
