Charter Standard

The awards aim to recognise and reward people across the country who make a difference to grassroots football in their local community – the people who dedicate their time to developing tomorrow's young talent and help ensure safety and best practice in tens of thousands of clubs up and down the country.

Leckhampton Rovers FC has been recognised for their commitment to grassroots football by a panel of county FA and McDonald's representatives and is theCOUNTY WINNER in the 2013 Gloucestershire FA Community Awards. They are now shortlisted for South West regional FA Community Awards, where they will be judged alongside other county winners to represent the South West in the National Awards shortlist.

Matthew Boucher, Gloucestershire FA Football Development Officer: "The grassroots awards are a chance for us to recognise those volunteers, coaches and clubs that sacrifice so much throughout the year and say thank you to them.

Without them we wouldn't have safe and structured environments where youngsters can develop their footballing talent. We are delighted that The FA and McDonald's have provided us the opportunity to recognise them through The FA community Awards and we wish them all the best at regional and hopefully national stages of the Awards."
