LRFC Presentation Day - 8th June 2013

On a glorious English summers day (sunshine, clud and an intermittent very chilly breeze) Saturday was the LRFC Presentation day.

With the club having 20 teams across all the divisions from U9's to Seniors this was no small undertaking. Trophies were awarded in the following categories:
  • Managers Player
  • Players Player
  • Clubman
  • Most Improved
  • Top Scorer
With special guests Joe Hanks and Ed Williams local lads signed by Cheltenham Town FC and, in a real coup for the club, World Cup Winner Sir. Geoff Hurst.

Enzo started the presentaion day with some introductions, first the new CTFC players and then Sir Geoff Hurst......

"World Cup Winner" - huge cheers!
"West Ham Player" - cheers and boo's
"WBA player" - ambivalent muttering
"Chelsea Manager" - MASSIVE boo's

I think that they call that banter!

The awards were made with each manager introducing the team briefly and then confirming each award. Sir Geoff Hurst presented each of the awards.

At then end of this was a special presentation to Dave Pitts, Enzo Scognamiglio and Amelia Scognamiglio in recognition of theor efforts in keeping the club not just going bu thriving as the largest club in Cheltenham and the County Charter Standard Club of the year.

With the presentations complete it was a return to the field. The raffle was drawn with Liam of the LRFC Cheetah's U12's winning the signed David Villa shirt.

The bar and tuck shop continued to do good business. There were also penalty shoot-outs for mums and dads. Around 4'ish people started to leave and the clear up started. With many hands making light work by the end it looked like we had not been there.

A hugely successful and enjoyable day made by the players and their parents. The club goes from strength to strength.....
