Energy Drinks and Kids Sport

LRFC Cougars U14's coach Marcus Bosano was on BBC Radio Gloucestershire talking about the fact that sports drinks are not suitable for children. Too much sugar, too many additives and caffeine.

With obesity rates in children rising these drinks contribute to that. If children have a good balanced diet then they should not need to consume these high sugar drinks.

The labeling states that they are "for adults" and yet this is hidden away and masked by clever marketing definitely aimed at children and teenagers.

You can listen to the clip from the radio here (it will go in a week).

Support Leckhampton Rovers FC in becoming a 'no energy drink club' and if you want to discuss or need more information you can contact Marcus here.
